New SleepTech Introduced at Consumer Electronics Show

Most people associate the Consumer Electronics Show, held annually each January in Las Vegas, with the latest in high-tech televisions, new laptops and home audio gear.  A growing part of CES each year are tech items in the personal wellness space.  Included in the wellness category are items related to improving sleep and reducing snoring.  Several companies introduced new items at CES that we’re very excited to see and test.

A sleep tech startup dubbed PranaQ will debut its TipTraQ artificial intelligence (AI) sleep monitoring device at this year’s CES tradeshow.

According to its developers, the TipTraQ is a lightweight, comfortable-to-wear device that is worn on a finger. With its anti-slip strap, the device comfortably attaches to the body so that it can diagnose and monitor respiratory sleep disorders — like sleep apnea.  In addition, the TipTraQ device analyzes the wearer’s sleep trends via real-time tracking and even offers a personalized sleep coaching program powered by GenAI. Likewise, the technology uses the wearer’s data to make recommendations and treatment suggestions.

Chinese startup Motion Pillow has introduced a new pillow powered by artificial intelligence to reduce snoring. The Motion Pillow employs AI technology to provide users with a superior night’s sleep. The AI Motion System within the pillow identifies instances of snoring and strategically inflates airbags to lift the user’s head, thereby opening the airway and reducing snoring. Complementing this innovation, an accompanying app records sleep data, including snoring duration, airbag operation time, sleep score, overall sleep duration, and even archives recordings of snoring for later playback.

  • AI Sleep Health Warnings: analyzes users’ disease data, along with geographic location, age, and sleep monitoring metrics to provide early chronic disease warnings.
